Appendices

An appendix contains supplementary material. It is placed after the report.

The appendices MUST come from the Process Journal. The entries should contain the date from which the extract was taken.

The types of things that may prove useful in the appendices are:

  • surveys
  • emails and letters
  • graphs and charts
  • Experiments and their results
  • sketches of ideas
  • timelines
  • evidence of ATL skills (researching, thinking, self-management, communication and social skills)

Your appendices should be identified with a letter: Appendix 1. Should there be several examples within the appendix (ex 3 charts) you would give them a number also: Appendix 1a. The appendices should have page numbers that should be referred to in the report.

In your report, the appendices would be referred to as follows:

In an effort to keep myself on track, I set my writing timeline (see Appendix 1c, p11) to reflect the time I have available in my schedule.
