Para - Educator Training
The Para-Educator program, in partnership with LWFI is a training program that prepares candidates to become assistant teachers in the classroom and pass the Para Pro exam, a credential that would allow them to work as Para Educators in the school system. In addition to teaching ESOL skills, the program focuses on teaching the Reading, Writing and Math skills needed to pass the Para Pro test.
Requirements for Para-Educator Training
Live in Lawrence
Have a child in Lawrence Public Schools
Proficiency in level 5 English or higher
How to register
Step1. Complete the Inquiry Form on our webpage , if you cannot complete the online form, call Ph (978)722-8110 or stop by at 255 Essex st. 2nd floor Lawrence, MA 01841.

Step2. You will be contacted by a staff member within a few weeks to take a brief "speaking placement test." This will help us to assess your current level and place you in the most appropriate class.
Step3. All students are required to take a placement test before enrolling in classes. The test is used to assess each student readiness level at enrollment. Students are also required to take a post test. Students who complete the inquiry form will be enrolled when space is available. Our waitlist is extremely large therefore students may have to wait to be enroll as space become available.

Morning Session (AM):
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Evening Sessions:
Group B: Tuesday & Thursday, 5:45 PM – 8:45 PM

Cost
Classes are free. Books will be provided to students who attend at least 12 hours of class.
