Mrs. Morales

Based on the Benchmark Universe Language Arts program, Mrs. Morales 3rd grade class researched (read and wrote) a natural disaster of their choice to make a video.

Students developed ELA and ELD skills in learning how to speak in camera and to create paragraphs that facilitated the presentation of information in a natural and clear manner.

Students leveraged IMOVIE digital tools to create green screen videos written, produced, and then edited by themselves. The ITF only facilitated their learning which after the first groups finished their video, they became the experts to teach other groups after.

Empowering students to have the voice and choice to develop their own research and media to represent their learning was very effective in a PBL manner.
