Within the EJ Semester and as a result, I have gained experience representing myself and groups I am a part of in the media. This has strengthened my public speaking skills and helped me continue to grow in confidence.
After our semester's culminating symposium, my classmate and I were interviewed for a segment on local news outlet, WCYC about the EJ Semester's goals and outcomes.
My classmate and I were featured on an episode of the All Things Green podcast, which interviews various people involved in Cleveland's environmental sphere. We shared our experiences in the EJ Semester and how we hope to impliment all we have learned about sustainability and justice.
A few other members of the Election Committee and I were interviewed about the work we have been doing this election season to educate our peers and promote civil discourse. The Election Committee is a non-partisan group that gives school-wide presentations on political current events and hosts dialogues following important election milestones.
