I have continued to work with ACE since our collaboration within the semester and plan to stay engaged with the organization for years to come. I have grown in confidence and skill as an advocate through their mission to empower youth voices in the climate movement.
Statehouse Trip
Within the EJ semester, my classmates and I had the opportunity to visit the Ohio Statehouse to speak to representatives and advocate for HB 197, which allows for community solar.
Speaking at Community Solar Luncheon
I was invited to share my perspective on community solar and represent the youth at a luncheon that hosted politicians, farmers, business owners, and citizens in general.
I attended a rally protesting American Electric Power's blockage of HB 197/community solar. We gathered in front of AEP headquarters in Columbus, Ohio and demonstrated our commitment to clean energy.
