There will be another workshop planned for parents this academic year. Leigh Academy Cherry Orchard also has a Specialist Resourced Provision. You can read more about this via our website and this document linked here.
The Academy has a pastoral support team who meet regularly to discuss children and family needs. You can contact our Family Liaison Officer - Sheena Williams - in the first instance in confidence, who will be happy to listen or provide practical advice or refer you to the relevant service.
The pupil premium grant (PPG) provides funding to improve support and educational outcomes for children and young people of service families, referred to as service pupil premium (SPP). As a school we will receive funding for pupils who are recorded as eligible for free school meals, or have been recorded as eligible in the past 6 years (referred to as Ever 6 FSM) as well as children who are previously looked after by a local authority or other state care, including children adopted from state care or equivalent from outside England and Wales. At LACO we offer discounted clubs and wraparound care - to read further information - please click here to read our PPG leaflet.
