Wraparound Childcare Provision
Cherry Orchard runs a full wraparound childcare facility for working parents that is available Monday to Friday from 07:30 until 6pm term time only, through our Extended Schools service. This takes place in our school hall and is supervised by trained staff, familiar to the Academy.
Breakfast Club
A healthy breakfast is provided by Cucina from 7:30 until 8 am from the school kitchen, to include both hot and cold options. To ensure that we can guarantee safe working practices by providing adequate staff to pupil ratios, sessions are booked and paid for on MCaS on a termly basis at a cost of £6 per session.
After School Provision
Extended Schools also offer After School provision (ASP) from the end of the school day until 6pm every day during the school term. Parents/carers book and pay for sessions via their MCaS child account on a first come first served basis each term. Current price is £12 a session to include a light hot or cold tea.
Activity Clubs
In addition to our wraparound childcare, we also offer a wide variety of activity clubs across all the key stages, to give pupils the opportunity to experience different sporting or learning opportunities, costing between £5 and £6 a session. These are booked and paid for via MCaS on a termly basis on a first come, first served basis.
