Pogranicze w czasie wojny to buzujący tygiel, także pod względem ekonomicznym To render this interestingly on the larp we are putting in the hands of you and other participants a number of tools that will support this layer of the game.
The game will feature small metal coins without a minted denomination. For the purposes of the larp, we assume that these will be Temerian orens, which are commonly used in these sites. We are simplifying and not introducing other currencies, so even settlements with visitors from Ofir will be regulated in orens. Each character on the game will receive a small number of orens to start.
In addition to coins, there will also be gemstones in different colors - plastic or glass crystals will play this role. Initially, they will be worth 20 oren apiece and will also be counted in this way at the end of the game, to sum up the groups' wealth. However, we expect that during the course of the larp the value of the stones may fluctuate from transaction to transaction.
The third recognized means of payment will be promisory notes ("weksel" in Polish). These will be provided to specific groups or can be written by designated characters at the game. Each promissory note will contain, at a minimum, information about the amount of the debt, when and how it will be paid, and the identity of the party who will settle the obligation. The real value of the promissory note will be determined by the inscribed denomination. As an offgame rule - the promissory notes cannot be falsified.
During the war, trade will flourish! Several stalls will be open in Przesieka, where real items can be bought for orens, jewels or bills of exchange. For the most part, these will be things of relatively little value in the real world - small ornaments, bags of spices or herbs, fruits, writing materials, potions. Such items can be freely consumed, eaten, etc. during the game. You, too, can bring such items into the game and sell them to other characters for in-game recognized means of payment.
A separate category will be items that can be traded or stolen, but which must go to their rightful owners after the game. These may include larger pieces of cloth, safe weapons, books, among others. These items will be marked with a white and black string or the same sticker. If you want to put such items on the market - apply to the organizers for the appropriate markings.
Items in this category immediately after the game must be returned to the owners. There will be a "Lost & found" chest on display at the player support point where purchased items must be deposited if you can't return them in person.
Meals are included in the ticket price - on each full day of the game you are entitled to breakfast and dinner. To maintain a degree of realism and for the purpose of accounting for the meals served, we have decided that each meal will be paid for with orens.
Don't be afraid that if you spend all your orens on something else, you won't get a meal at the inn of your choice. In such situations, the inn staff will feed you and add the owed amount to your tab. You will give your character's name and group, and the corresponding amount will be recorded as your character's "debt", which will be deducted from your group's final wealth at the end of the game.
Nothing prevents an artist from being paid for a performance, a guillotine for casting a charm and a customs officer for... a favorable customs decision. Most economic exchanges of this kind will be regulated exclusively between you and the other party to the transaction. Bribes, patronage fees or paid assignments - fall into this category. Both parties must come to an agreement on the price.
In addition, we are planning specific fees, the levels of which will be regulated "officially" in the world of larp. Most often, these will be taxes or duties imposed on specific groups, or fees set on the part of the organizers for specific privileges - such as the use of a market place.
Also very clear will be the amounts that will have to be paid to the appropriate NPC in order to achieve selected group goals. Almost every group will have one such goal to achieve, in a few cases there may be more similar goals.
Yes! You can trade under the above rules using orens, gems or promissory notes without additional restrictions. If you have any doubts, you can always raise questions with us.
Firstly - alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available in the tavern - these will be paid for in Polish złoty.
Secondly - some goods sold by craftspeople, merchants, and vendors who will be present during the game.
