LHS is committed to ensuring that all of our LGBTQ+ young people have a safe, inclusive and nurturing experience in education.
Here you will find information on our Genders and Sexualities Alliance, LGBT inclusive education and lots of useful documents and websites for our pupils, their families and their teachers.
LHS has a thriving Genders and Sexualities Alliance (GSA).
Our group was set up in August 2019 with four main goals;
To provide a safe space for pupils in the LGBTQ+ community and allies
To offer support to LGBTQ+ pupils through signposting or advice
To celebrate LGBTQ+ people and their experiences
To make our school more inclusive through education and awareness.
We meet weekly and are always open for new members - If you are interested please see Miss Mirrlees in C024 or one of our group members.
