What is the ASC?
The Additional Support Centre (ASC) is a Falkirk Council Provision which is based at Larbert High School. It supports young people in S1-S6 from across Falkirk Council all of who have either a diagnosis of ASD or display autistic traits. The team consists of a Principal Teacher, 5 teachers and 12 SFLAs.
Our ASC has a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere where pupils benefit from small classes and enhanced levels of SFLA support. Our young people also access a number of mainstream classes with enhanced support. The role involves overseeing both the curricular and pastoral needs of the pupils and also the line management of the 3 full time teachers and 12 full and part time SFLAs.
