End of Term Newsletter

Principal's Message

Welcome to our end of term newsletter. I was hoping that by now we would have had some more Spring-like weather but at least we are seeing signs of Spring in other ways.

It has been an absolutely jam-packed term with so many events, trips and learning experiences going on.

One of our highlights has been Year 1's exciting adventure to the Natural History Museum in London by travelling on the train and even the London Underground. A huge thanks must be passed to Mrs Dunn and Miss State for making this possible. The children have not only gained a lot of knowledge from the trip to complement their learning about dinosaurs but also a huge number of life skills by travelling to the museum using public transport. This encapsulates our school strapline of "learning today for life tomorrow". Well done Year 1, we are really proud of you!

You will be able to find out about even more of the children's learning from the class pages so please take a look at your leisure.

As we head into the new term, you will notice that hopefully the car park will have had its new lines painted. This will mean that it will not be possible for parents to park in the staff parking area moving forwards. There will be no other areas available to stop apart from the designated parking spaces (it is only these that should currently be used although this is very often not the case) and the drop-off lay by within the car park. I will write to you with a full update regarding this in the holidays and will include a plan of the new car park layout. I have become increasingly concerned about how our community has been using the car park of late as this is making it quite dangerous for our children; the new layout will therefore undoubtedly be a welcomed update to the academy site. I am well aware that we have been waiting for this for some time as it can be weather and time dependent, so thank you for your patience.

Have a wonderful Easter break and we look forward to seeing you on Monday 15th April.

Miss S Brading

If you have concerns that you would like to raise with the academy, please do so via the office email address which is contactus@langleyparkprimaryacademy.org.uk. Upon receipt, your email will be directed to the relevant member(s) of staff.

We respectfully ask that you address any concerns or issues with your child's class teacher in the first instance. If it remains unresolved then your concern will then be escalated to Mrs McRobb, Vice Principal. In the unlikely event that it continues to remain unresolved, it will be escalated to Miss Brading at that point.

We are also aware that some parents continue to email staff directly. In the event that this happens, staff have been asked to forward your email to the aforementioned email address to resume communication via the correct channels.
