Nursery

Central Idea:     Our World Is Special and Connected In Many Ways.

Line of Inquiry 1: An Inquiry into different types of transport.

The children worked hard to develop an awareness of different types of transport around us and the local area. They developed their vocabulary to talk about different modes of transport and how they were similar or different.

Line of Inquiry 2: An inquiry into transport within our world.

The children looked at different types of transport within our world, such as tuk-tuks and hot air balloons.

As part of the inquiry we also travelled on a coach to Little Street where the children thoroughly enjoyed exploring different roles within our community and how these are connected to each other.

Line of Inquiry 3: An inquiry into how journeys connect us with others.

During this inquiry the children explored journeys within stories, such as 'We're Going On A Bear Hunt', retelling the story together, talking about the places visited within the story as well as using positional vocabulary to talk about the different parts of the story.

The children also explored journeys linked to stories of pirates, even creating their own pirate party!

Our last inquiry has also involved the children beginning to explore their own personal journeys, as part of their transition to 'big school' or preparing for new friends to join them in Seedlings in September.

Well done on an AMAZING year Seedlings. We wish you all well at your new schools and look forward to supporting those children who will be staying with us next year through the next step of their learning journey.

Have a wonderful Summer.
