End of Year Newsletter

21st July 2023

Principal's Message

What a year it has been! It only feels like only five minutes ago that I was welcoming you to the new academic year.

We have had so many wonderful experiences taking place over the last year for every single child, which I know they have all gained so much from. We finished the term with lots of celebratory assemblies and what is now known as our annual water fight. It has been such a wonderful way to end the term.

The end of the year often brings goodbyes. The biggest goodbye is to our wonderful Year 6 children who are moving on to the next chapter of the school journey. We are so very proud of every single one of them and all that they have achieved. We know they are going to go on to do great things - good luck to each and every one of you!

Talking of those who achieve great things, Miss Russell, our Melrose Class teacher, has passed her degree with a first class honours. What an amazing achievement! We are very proud of Miss Russell.

We also say goodbye to some staff who, as you know, are moving on to other opportunities. Mrs McRobb, Mrs Mansfield, Mrs Butcher, Mrs Allen, Miss Nelson, Mrs Cooper, Miss Griffiths, Mrs West and Mr Andrew. We are privileged to have been able to call you colleagues and we will miss you very much as you move on to your new adventures.

Please take time to enjoy the newsletter and find out about all of the exciting learning that has been taking place. I will write to you ahead of the new academic year with some reminders about key aspects about academy life. Until then, all there is left to say is...

Have a wonderful summer break and we can't wait to see you in the new academic year!

Miss Brading

We respectfully ask that you address any concerns or issues with your child's class teacher in the first instance. If it remains unresolved then your concern will then be escalated to Mrs McRobb, Vice Principal. In the unlikely event that it continues to remain unresolved, it will be escalated to Miss Brading at that point.

We are also aware that some parents continue to email staff directly. In the event that this happens, staff have been asked to forward your email to the aforementioned email address to resume communication via the correct channels.
