We started our learning with what makes up our identity. We spent time learning about our families, pets, friends, things we can't do yet and the special things we can do. We enjoyed writing fact files about ourselves and we also got to share these with our grown- ups as part of our PYP Mini Exhibition.
Next, we learnt about who and where is important to us. We learnt lots about our school and the places in which we think are special to us. We took part in a local area walk where we investigated the Human and Physical features of our local environment. Finally, our third line of Inquiry led us to use our senses to understand the world around us. We had a special visit from Paul and Pasha the Guide Dog who taught us all about how special our sense of sight is. Pasha does such a good job in supporting Paul with his day to day life and we enjoyed learning all about the role of Guide Dogs in our wider community.
