Thanks to the Touba Family Foundation we had our first Art Class today! Ms. Alyssa is going to be coming twice a month (once for preschool, once for school age) to teach an art skill and complete a project based on that skill. The kids did GREAT!!!!!! The first months lesson was on colors. I was totally amazed at how many of our friends know all of their colors! They were attentive, worked hard and seemed to truly enjoy it. Today we had an AMAZING performance of Pinocchio by Saratoga Opera To Go.
The kids loved it and were completely enamored for the entire performance.
Each month Peg Clark from Whispering Willow Yoga visits our classrooms ! Students practice breathing and other calming techniques, stretching and a variety of poses.

Prospect School Aged students and staff gathered to kick off the 2019 Special Olympics Program! Along with viewing a slide show from last years festivities and listening to Matt's presentation regarding his personal involvement with the program, students demonstrated the events that will take place this year! Channel 10 Storm Tracker visited the back parking lot of Prospect School! Christina Erne, Meteorologist for Channel 10, presented on a variety of weather topics. Each classroom contributed a hand made page for a book relating to weather and seasons. The book was presented to Christina by Room 8 students.
Dr. Fox presented Vision and Learning for People with Special Needs at Prospect's Professional Development Day! It was wonderful and a lot of fun!!!
