The Glens Falls Rotary will hold its annual 5k race on Saturday, April 13th. The race begins and ends at SUNY ADK – and is a flat course. It starts at 9:00 a.m. Prospect Center is one of the two non-profits selected to receive the proceeds from this race. Please consider being a part of a team for Prospect – this is a run, walk or crawl across the finish line! You can do it! There is a prize for the largest team – share this with your family, friends and anyone willing to be part of the team. Let’s do this for our families!
Local artist Brendan Clancy has been awarded the opportunity to paint the Prospect pool mural!! Brendan submitted an application to LARAC's collaborative mural initiative with Prospect! In the days to come, he and fellow artist Regan Schene can be found producing a life size water themed paining in the Prospect pool area. Liz has been working with the Center for over 10 years as an LPN at Prospect. Liz stands out for her consistent positive attitude with co-workers, students and families. She is always willing to go the extra mile in responding to medical needs. She is patient , kind and compassionate with both her co-workers and students and can always manage to help turn your frown upside down. She is a devoted nurse and exemplifies professionalism to the fullest. Her commitment to the students, families and her co-workers is truly an irreplaceable asset to Prospect Center!
Each month, our friends at Crandall Library select and deliver books for students to read at our school. They carefully pick a variety of books that support our monthly Unique curriculum topics. As you see, this months selections are nicely aligned with our environmental studies focus! In addition, one of the librarians periodically visits us to read on additional topics! Thank you Crandall Library for this valuable addition to our academic program! Soon these books will be displayed in our brand new library. Work is progressing nicely!
Here is just one example of our Seasonal Bulletin Board Displays! Each season, classrooms have a friendly competition with the winners choosing either a classroom pizza or ice cream party! Judging will take place this week. Who will the winner be???

You will notice the halls of Prospect are now adorned with stars and post-its! A new "Feel Goods" Staff Recognition program encourages staff in recognizing their colleagues achievements and efforts! Names of staff recognized in "Feel Goods" will be entered in a monthly drawing. Names drawn will receive a gift certificate from Targets!
It was recently announced that the Langan Schools at Prospect and Albany have been awarded a grant from the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism, through the Allison Keller Education Technology Program! Our application sought to improve learning outcomes and performance for our students as they access the Langan Curriculum via mobile devices and interactive classroom computers. The funds will be used to enhance the educational technology utilized specifically by students in the schools RAAVE programs!
