Please complete this Google Form to report your timesheet error and have it resolved in the quickest manner. The Payroll Specialist will notify you when your issue is resolved.
Anytime you need to negate a transaction in Skyward, you can do so by entering the same time off request and adding a negative (-) in front of the number of hours (even if you are reversing just minutes, put a -0 in the hours box and the minutes in the minutes box). Make sure you use the same date and time off reason code, and in the description you can add "no longer needed" or similar. You can use the same type of transaction if you take a number of hours that is greater than the number you actually used.
Negative time off transactions will be submitted to your supervisor for approval and when approved, the balance will be added back to your time off allocation.
Once you have entered the negative transaction, you can enter another positive transaction to correct the issue if needed.
Please email our Payroll Specialist at lss_payroll@lakelandk12.org to inform the Finance Department of the error with your paycheck.
It is recommended that you use the IRS Withholding Estimator to help you arrive at how to complete the W-4 form: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/tax-withholding-estimator
The IRS Withholding Estimator will use your income information and allow you to decide if you want to increase your projected IRS tax refund amount based on your salary information. You will need your most recent check stub(s).
It is also recommended that you use the Skyward Check Estimator Tool before making any permanent changes to your withholdings. This will allow you to see how the changes will affect your net paycheck and your calculated tax withholdings. You can access the tool by navigating to Employee Information > Personal Information > Payroll > Check Estimator, then follow the prompts. Nothing you do in the estimator will affect your actual paycheck.
If you decide you would like to make a change to your withholdings, please submit a ticket in Incident IQ (New Ticket > Human Resources > Payroll > W-4 Change).

Navigate to Employee Information > Personal Information > Payroll > Check Estimator
Use the Check Estimator Tool to estimate how changes to your deductions/benefits will affect your net pay. Changes made in the Check Estimator Tool are not permanent and will not affect your paycheck unless you contact the HR Department to officially make the changes. You can simulate adjustments to your W-4 withholding information, insurance information, retirement information, etc.
NOTE: Benefits change requests outside of open enrollment must be supported by documentation of a qualifying event. To review information on qualifying events, please refer to the Employee Handbook.
