If you would like to consult about your student or schedule a meeting, please call or email your student's counselor. Please remember that we are in classrooms and working with students, so a scheduled appointment is the best way to meet. We collaborate with parents via phone appointment or through emails as well. We all have a confidential voicemail where you can leave a message, and we will return your message as soon as possible.

My husband and I live in Pleasanton with our two daughters and new puppy, Maisy. Our oldest is a Sophomore at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and our youngest is a Freshman at California State University, Long Beach.

I grew up in nearby Pleasanton and started my educational career teaching high school students. I decided to further support my students so I earned my Master's in Educational Counseling, PPS Credential and my Certificate of Eligibility for the Administrative Credential. This year I begin my 28th year supporting students.

As a school counseling professional my primary goals are to support the social growth, emotional health and academic achievement for all students. I am dedicated to helping students achieve their highest potential! I am passionate about teaching students tools and emotional regulation skills, so they can learn to self-regulate and be an advocate for themselves. I am a trained Mindfulness Educator, and strive to empower students to develop grit and a growth mindset. I believe practicing mindfulness and developing micro and macro self-care routines are key to life-balance and happiness.

My name is Joelle Johnson and I am the Stanley School Counselor for H-N students. I have lived within the East Bay Area my entire life and have worked throughout Lafayette and Moraga for over the past 10 years. Although I’ve been devoted to Northern California most of my life, I am also a self-defined Disney Adult and would happily travel to Disneyland any day of the week!

Before joining the Stanley Team, I worked at Campolindo High School for 6 years as the Counseling Enriched Program counselor. This gave me a lot of experience in not only supporting students to balance their mental health and academics but also strengthening their executive functioning skills so that they could become independent, self-sufficient and advocate for their needs.

I am very excited for the 2025-2026 school year!

I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself to you. My name is Mary Nolan, and I've been working with youth for 21 years. I have an undergrad degree in Child Development, along with my masters in School Counseling. This year I begin my 10th year of supporting the Stanley students and families!

I am also member of the Lafayette community, I live here with my 10 year old son who attends Lafayette Elementary. We continue to enjoy the local hikes (big fan of the Res), burgers downtown, and seeing so many lovely familiar faces while we wonder our neighborhood.
