The purpose of the Stanley School Counseling Department, and in accordance with the American School Counseling Association (ASCA), is to offer a comprehensive developmental school counseling program by working as team members with school staff, parents, and the community to create a caring, supportive climate and atmosphere whereby our students can achieve academic success. Our goal is to enhance the learning process and promote academic achievement, help students achieve optimal personal growth, acquire positive social skills and values, set appropriate career goals, and help them realize their full academic potential to become productive and contributing members of the world community. -- American School Counselor Association
