The Tasmanian Sail Training Association (TSTA) is the registered business name established in 1983 to oversee the building of the replica Lady Nelson and the ongoing management of the ship we sail today.
As the name indicates, we are a sail training association as well as custodians of the ship so we also have core focus on training volunteers the skills of tall ship sailing.
The TSTA is a team of volunteers, led by our Board of Directors, who make it all happen. The organisation chart below provides an overview of the current administrative structure.
In addition to crewing, the TSTA offers a range of opportunities for members to get involved, learn new skills and also gain experience including joining the Board. If you would like to explore options for being more involved in the running of the Lady Nelson, contact a board member or the office for details.
Please also come along to our Annual General Meetings held around August/September where we elect board members and provide a range of reports on finances, maintenance and the future plans. And a cup of tea with something to eat of course.
