Business
The Ken-Ton Business Department provides students with a challenging, student-centered, project-based, business/financial and technology program. Students will be exposed to the business world and will develop and learn the skills necessary to be successful in today’s world of work and academics. We focus on preparing students for a variety of careers that are (or will) be available to high school and college graduates in the coming years.
In high school, students can take part in many different business and computer electives that also provide the option for college credit at SUNY Erie/ECC or Buffalo State College. Potentially, students could graduate with 12 credits of business classes/electives that are transferrable to any SUNY school.
To culminate their high school careers and investigate possible careers, seniors have the option to participate in an Internship of their choice, connecting their high school courses and interests to a career field. Kenmore East seniors have interned in a variety of careers at local businesses, including the Law Office of Todd Potter, Sports PT, the Niagara Aquarium, Pediatric Adolescent and Urgent Care, Laser Tron, Ken-Ton schools, etc. If any senior student would like to participate in an internship, please complete this form.
