Access to Financial Information
Parents and others often ask Student Accounts to disclose financial information about a student’s account so that they can make accurate tuition and fee payments. Our policy is to protect the confidentiality of all information pertaining to our students, including all their detailed financial records and account balances. If you wish to grant permission for financial information to be released to a third party (such as a parent), Student Accounts requires you to send an e-mail from your official university e-mail account to: accounts@ukings.ca. Please include your name, Banner ID number (B0******* found on your acceptance letter) and the name and email address of the third party, individuals, or organizations you are authorizing. Please note, Student Accounts will not initiate contact with a third party. The authorization will remain active until you contact our office to have it removed.
Student Account Balance and Due Dates
Students will receive an email at their official university email account mid August and mid December to advise their term student account can be viewed online. To avoid late fees and interest charges, the fall term runs Sept. to Dec. 2024, and tuition and fees for the fall term, including residence, are due in full September 17, 2024. The winter term runs Jan. to Apr. 2025, and tuition and fees for the winter term, including residence, are due in full January 20, 2025.
Paying Tuition and Fees
King’s students have options when it comes to paying their tuition and fees:
Student Loans— Students applying for a government loan must use the University of King’s College as their official educational institution. Students apply online through the province they are a permanent resident of and should do so at least two months before the start of classes, (including out of province students). All tuition and fees (including residence, if applicable) as it appears on ones student account, will be deducted from the amount of the student loan at the time of disbursement. Students who are obtaining a student loan for the fall and winter terms must be fully registered upfront for the fall and winter terms before their fall student loan will process for payment. Students are responsible for payment of their student account for any registration changes made thereafter.
External Funding— Students who are receiving an external scholarship and wish to use it as a payment towards their student account, can drop it off at the King’s Student Accounts Office (King’s Arts and Admin. Bldg-2nd Floor). If you have an external scholarship letter that must be completed in order to receive your award, and it is asking for financial information, please email a copy of the official letter to accounts@ukings.ca. If the external scholarship letter is asking for a confirmation of enrolment only, please email registrar@ukings.ca for more assistance. Students who are sponsored must have the organization complete the University’s “Third Party Billing Information Form” which can be obtained online at https://ukings.ca/admissions/finances/financial-aid/external-funding/
Regular Payments— Methods include debit, cheque, money order, bank draft made payable to ‘The University of King’s College’, as well as online bill payments. (Please note: credit card and e-mail money transfers are not accepted).
Online bill payments (Internet banking through one’s personal bank account online) is currently set up with RBC, TD, CIBC, BMO, Scotiabank, and the Credit Union via direct bill payment. Payment must be made in Canadian dollars.
