Hulō! Hulō! to Author Sarah Leialoha Kekauoha!  After graduating from UH Hilo with her BA in English, she served an 18 month mission in the Phillippines.  She then earned her Secondary Ed Teaching License from BYU - Provo and got married in 2018!  Sarah (Leialoha is her pen name) just published her book, Aloha State of Mind  on Sept 20, 2021 - "a dream come true!"

"Going to Kamehameha Schools, I felt so blessed to be surrounded by a culture that promoted values of aloha. These values, such as mālama, 'ike loa, pono, and more, stuck with and inspired me throughout my high school career, as well as helped me get through some really tough times in life. I talk about the values, my story, Hawaiian culture, and more, in my book, Aloha State of Mind. The book, which just came out on September 20, 2021, covers 24 Hawaiian values to help you create paradise where you are. You don't have to live in Hawaii to be happy--you can carry aloha with you anywhere you go. I am so grateful for my time at Kamehameha Schools that influenced and inspired me to live with aloha and share that aloha, no matter where I am. I hope it also inspires you to carry aloha with you always. "
