Eric Carle paintings are used as inspiration to created textural painted paper. A focus on personal and shared paper is emphasized. Mālama and aloha are the values that are applied and modeled. The chant "Ke Ao Nani" is used to create a visual interpretation of the wondrous birds that fly above.
Haumana look at Mondrian Art and create linear designs using vertical, horizontal and diagonal shapes
Haumana create tempera paintings using recycled cardboard and paper rolls to create linear line images. They looked at linear lines in building to create their imagery.
