Navigating Online Documentation

If you don't know the set up of this e-Delivery Documentation, you may find yourself getting confused as you read through it. Here are some guidelines to make navigating our documentation as simple and easy as possible.

Navigating a Page

Here you will see an example of the layout of a typical page. Below is a snapshot of the Jobs page. The numbers on the snapshot correspond to the numbers in the description below it.

1. Introduction

At the top of every page in online documentation will be a short description of the page's purpose and the value it adds. This will tell you the role it plays in helping you complete your daily tasks more efficiently.

2. Contents

This indicates which section and pages of e-Delivery that you're reading about. For example: according to this picture of a section of the toolbar menu, this is the "Jobs" section of e-Delivery. There are two pages in the Jobs section of e-Delivery: Uploaded Jobs and Reprints.

3. Overview

These are descriptions for the different pages in this section. For example: the pages in the Jobs section of e-Delivery are Uploaded Jobs and Reprints. Thus, there is a brief explanation of Uploaded Jobs, as well as a brief explanation of Reprints.

If you continue to scroll down the Jobs page in the documentation you will see that it will go more in depth on the Uploaded Jobs page and the Reprints page in e-Delivery and tell you how they work and how to use them.

Note: Some pages in the online documentation will only cover one page from e-Delivery instead of an entire section or collection of pages (like "Jobs" for example). In this case, there will be an introduction that serves as the overview for that page.

Navigating the Top Menu

No matter where you are in the online documentation, there will always be these buttons/dropdowns at the top of the page. If you want to learn more about the Toolbar Menu, for example, you would simply click Toolbar Menu (not the dropdown icon). If you were looking for a specific item in the Toolbar Menu, however, you would click the dropdown icon next to Toolbar Menu to access it's dropdown options.

If you have no clue where to start but know what you want, try typing in what you want in the search bar. If the documentation seems overwhelming then go to Welcome to eDelivery, where you will receive a big picture understanding of e-Delivery and how to navigate the rest of the documentation.
