Week 6-9
We are learning addition and subtraction facts within 10 and 20
We have practiced friends of 10 (addition and subtraction).
We have learnt about 'family of facts' (a group of equations that use the same numbers.
Our next step is friends of 20 and family of facts using numbers up to 20.
We have used tens frames and number lines to help us.
Week 5
We will begin looking at tally marks in preparation for learning about graphs.
Weeks 1-4
We have been learning how to read clocks to tell the time.
We have practiced how skip counted in 5's to help us read the time.
We have played games and acted out scenarios to help us learn the difference between A.M and P.M.
Now we are learning how to read calendars and make our own calendar.
We are looking at days of the week and months of the year. We are learning that not all months have the same amount of days.
You can help at home by;
Having a calendar at home and filling it in together.
Talking about calendars, days, events you have coming up.
Encouraging your child to read clocks at home and when you are out (clock tower, clocks in shops etc).
