Whakaute is an important value at Kohimarama School. We show whakaute towards teachers, other students, our classrooms and the equipment in them.
Manawanui means to be committed.
Commitment is important to have in all aspects of life. We need to be committed to our learning, sport and friends.
Hoa hoa is our value of friendliness.
The single kupu hoa means friend, as in the person. When you add the second hoa it becomes an action.
Aroha means compassions, it also means to give and feel love and empathy.
Matatika means honesty. It is important. to be honest and trustworthy at Kohimarama School.
Mata is a face or surface, and tika means correct.
Reliable - Totika means to be reliable
Being reliable is important at Kohimarama school as you can be a totika friend, learner, sports person, musician or dancer!
