Kaikōhau

A Kaikōhau is an expression of your hopes and desires.

When you say it, you are welcoming all things that are good and wishing them to be plentiful in time to come.

It is different from a karakia of which Atua Māori are an integral element.

The power and influence of a kaikōhu is in the unified expression and belief in the words it contains.
