Showcasing Student Council

Welcome to the Bearden Elementary School Student Council Showcase! The Student Council showcases student leadership, teamwork, and responsibility as representatives work together to make a positive impact on their school community. Through planning events, organizing service projects, and sharing student voices, council members demonstrate independence, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. The Student Council offers students the opportunity to develop leadership skills while fostering school spirit and promoting active participation in creating a supportive and inclusive environment.

2025 Student Council Voting

Bearden Elementary School’s Student Council candidates engaged in an exciting campaign season as they prepared to run for different leadership positions. Students created and displayed posters around the school to share their ideas, goals, and reasons for wanting to serve. This process connected to Tennessee state standards for English Language Arts by encouraging students to practice persuasive writing, clear communication, and organization of ideas. It also supported social studies standards by fostering civic understanding, leadership, and participation in a democratic process. Through campaigning, students developed confidence, creativity, and responsibility while learning the importance of student voice and active involvement in their school community.
