In this phase of the Inquiry Cycle, the Year 5 boys explored the creation of various liveable cities. The students actively engaged with their prior knowledge by immersing themselves in activities that helped them connect with the concept. Through discussions, brainstorming, and exposure to relevant resources, students tuned in to the concept of liveable cities, building a foundation of understanding and curiosity to fuel their inquiry journey.
After unpacking the big idea and key concepts via Miro Board, the boys' were tasked with watching three videos and recording any questions that emerged from the content, specifically relating to the unit's concept of "Data Informs the Creation of Diverse Designs and Liveable Cities." This provocation exercise served as a catalyst for their inquiry journey, stimulating their thinking and setting the stage for deeper exploration.
