These tasks are designed to:
Support students' in developing their curiosity of the topic
Provide students with information to generate questions
Provide students with the resources to explore and investigate the topic
To enhance their understanding of the Census, the boys embarked on independent investigations into Local Government Areas (LGAs) across New South Wales. Here, they made intriguing discoveries, which they documented and shared with their peers. Next, the students were assigned the task of comparing their respective datasets, encouraging them to draw insightful inferences about factors such as median wage, geographic location, employment opportunities, and education levels. Through the thoughtful and considerate analysis and comparison of data from different regions of the state, the boys developed a more comprehensive and interconnected understanding of New South Wales as a whole.
