Why invent the Christmas service again? We all are tasked with providing a Christmas service at our church’s and it is one of the most attended events of the year! There are lots of good ideas out there. Let’s help each other out and share the services that have worked well for you! You have already probably vetted a service or two and made sure it is doctrinally sound, but you can’t use the same service every year. This roundtable session will allow all of us to share what has worked well and get new ideas from those that are in the “trenches.” Maybe you can even get new ideas without having to spend all the hours searching for the new service again! Planning in early June for what will happen in December will eliminate lots of stress and anxiety as the new year begins. Let’s share - bring your last service from last year, (at least the title and publisher) or even better a copy for the group to peruse. If you have multiple services to share - great! Let’s help each other out! As time allows, let’s use our combined experiences to help each other out with other musical topics such as: Music for the church year, curriculum ideas for teaching music throughout the grades, dealing with the adolescent voice… or so much more!
