The KS Toolkit Contest is live! Help us test and improve the toolkit by submitting methods, sharing resources, or reviewing existing content.
The KM4Dev Knowledge Sharing Toolkit is a community-maintained resource — open, evolving, and made stronger by your contributions.
There are many ways to get involved:
Each method and tool is hosted on its own Google Doc. You can:
Suggest edits or clarifications directly in the document (no need to request access)
Add references, templates, or practical tips from your experience
If you're knowledgeable about a method or tool and open to helping others understand or adopt it, feel free to add your name under the section: “Who can tell me more about this method/tool?” This space is for peers who are willing to share their experience and answer occasional questions. If you’ve also contributed to improving the article, listing your name here is a good way to make your input visible and acknowledged.
Used one of the methods or tools in the Toolkit? Your experience could be incredibly helpful to others.
We’ve created a custom GPT Reflection Assistant to help you capture and structure your insights. It guides you through a short, focused reflection so you can document:
Real-life context and how you applied the method/tool
What worked well, what was challenging
Tips and lessons learned others could benefit from
Once you’re done, simply send the output to 📬 kstoolkit@googlegroups.com, and the Editorial Board will take it from there.
If you know of a method or tool not yet included in the Toolkit, you’re welcome to contribute a new article.
We offer an optional AI-based drafting tool to help you follow the standard format used throughout the Toolkit.
Found a great toolkit, guide, strategy, or research piece? You can add it to the Knowledge Sharing Resources section through our simple submission process.
Want to help review submissions and curate content?
The editorial board is an open group of KM4Dev volunteers who:
Review contributions
Edit and format resource entries
Maintain the Toolkit in a consistent, community-friendly way
To join, just email 📬 kstoolkit@googlegroups.com.
📘 Curious what being an editor involves? Read about the Editorial Board’s roles and responsibilities.
Not ready to contribute content? You can still help by providing general feedback on the structure, usability, or clarity of the Toolkit.
Just send your thoughts to the Editorial Board: 📬 kstoolkit@googlegroups.com or, if you've joined the KS Toolkit Contest, post in the KS Toolkit Champions group.
