The KS Toolkit Contest is live! Help us test and improve the toolkit by submitting methods, sharing resources, or reviewing existing content.
We launched the new Knowledge Sharing Toolkit on 4 April 2025 and kicked off a three-month community contest to explore, use, and shape the Toolkit together.
If you missed the launch, no problem:
🎥 Watch the Video – includes the origins and evolution of the Toolkit, a live demo, and a community Q&A
📝 Read the Summary – highlights, transcript, and key questions raised
📰 Explore the Blog Post – a short narrative on why we redesigned the Toolkit and what’s next for KM4Dev (feel free to share it with your networks!)
Now it’s your turn to get involved.
The Toolkit is designed to be collaborative—and this contest is your opportunity to dive in, try it out, and help refine it together with the KM4Dev community.
Your input helps:
Validate and improve the content
Fill gaps with new methods and tools
Expand our shared library of external resources
Share real-world experience to make the Toolkit more useful for others
And of course, you'll be acknowledged in our weekly community shout-outs throughout the contest.
There are many ways to contribute to the KS Toolkit. During the contest, we’re spotlighting five key activities—each simple, impactful, and open to everyone:
✏️ Improve Existing Method Pages: Open any method in the Toolkit and help enhance it—edit, clarify, fix, or suggest improvements, directly in the docs.
🗣️ Share Stories, Tips, and Lessons Learned: Used one of the methods or tools in the Toolkit? Your experience is valuable! Add your story to the toolkit.
➕ Submit a New Method or Tool: Know a method or tool that’s missing? Draft and contribute a new article.
📚 Share an External Resource: Found a great guide, strategy, or learning tool? Submit it to the KS Toolkit’s external resource library and help others discover it.
🧑💻 Join the Editorial Board: Help shape the Toolkit behind the scenes. Editorial Board members review, curate, and validate submitted methods, tools, and resources. It’s a great way to deepen your engagement with the community.
Click below to sign up for the contest. Once you do, you’ll receive a welcome message with everything you need to get started—including how to join the upcoming onboarding sessions.
Note: If you sign up before 11 April, you’ll be invited to one of two onboarding sessions—these are short, friendly calls to help you get oriented and feel at home.
The KS Toolkit Contest runs from 4 April to 4 July 2025.
Every week, we’ll celebrate contributors with shout-outs on the KM4Dev list—so the earlier you start, the more impact you can have!
We’re also hosting bi-monthly “Toolkit Clinics” to share progress, troubleshoot questions, and gather feedback. Join us to stay connected and supported throughout the contest.
