This course offers a very brief introduction to the texts in Western and Sanskrit tradition of Literary Criticism up to the Nineteenth century. Though because of logistic and practical limitations the course includes texts from these two traditions, it is expected that students will become aware of existence many alternative traditions

Since you have already completed the Academic Writing course, these guidelines are familiar to you.
Further, apply the skills and strategies you are now learning in the Advanced Academic writing course while writing your term paper.
Length of the term paper should be 750 (± 10%) words.
Style: While writing the term paper, students should follow the guidelines laid out in MLA Style Center (https://style.mla.org/)
Format: Term papers should be submitted in handwritten format; sheets should be stapled on the top left corner. No other binding or filing will be acceptable. MLA Style Center guidelines need to be adapted to the handwritten format. Talk to the teacher for any clarification
Plagiarism policies as discussed in the MLA Style Center will also apply on the term papers. Any plagiarized paper will be evaluated with a zero [0] score.
Score: Total score for the assessment is 20.
Subject: The term paper will be an analysis of treatment of the idea of tradition as discussed in the selections in the Sub-unit I, Unit, I of your syllabus
Dateline: Last date to submit the term paper is 12 February 2024, but early submissions will be more effective. The term paper should be submitted to the teacher in person.
