About the Course

Brief Introduction

This course offers a very brief introduction to the texts in Western and Sanskrit traditions of Literary Criticism up to the Nineteenth century. Though because of logistic and practical limitations, the course includes texts from these two traditions, it is expected that students will become aware of the existence of many alternative traditions

- - An analytical essay of approximately 750 words, on the texts in Unit I, Sub-unit I will be the constituent of this assessment. Total time: 1 Hour, maximum marks: 20
The Second Internal Assessment will be held on 7 January 2025, Tuesday at 10:30 AM
- - An analytical essay of approximately 750 words, on the texts in Unit I, Sub-unit II will be the constituent of this assessment. Total time: 1 Hour, maximum marks: 20
