DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE
Goodbye and Thank You
As the academic year draws to a close, I want to take a moment to thank the entire KISU community for two truly wonderful years. It has been a genuine privilege to serve as School Director and to be part of such a vibrant, caring and committed school family.
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Dr Sudhir Ruparelia, Ms Sheena Ruparelia, and the KISU Advisory Board for their support of both me and the positive change we’ve worked towards together. Their significant investment in both infrastructure and staff has laid strong foundations that will continue to support the school’s growth and excellence for years to come.
As we wave goodbye to some familiar faces, we also look ahead with excitement to welcoming new colleagues in August. These professionals have been selected through a rigorous recruitment process and will bring fresh perspectives, energy and experience – further strengthening teaching and learning across the school.
I also want to reassure our parent community that Mr Michael Starkie, who will take up the role of School Director from August, will continue to lead KISU with vision and integrity. Like me, Michael values dialogue and feedback, and I know he is eager to get to know you all. There will be an opportunity to meet him very early in Term 1.
Over the holiday period, please keep an eye out for important school updates, which will be shared via email, WhatsApp and ClassDojo to help you prepare for the new academic year.
To those departing KISU and Kampala, I wish you safe travels and every happiness in your next chapter. To those returning, may your summer be full of adventure, rest and inspiration.
And for anyone staying in Kampala, don’t forget that our fantastic Summer Camp begins on 1st July. It’s packed with exciting activities to keep children engaged, active and entertained. For more information, please see Ms Tracy or Ms Deborah – they’ll be happy to help.
Thank you once again for the support, energy and kindness you’ve shown me during my time here. It’s been a joy to be part of this community – and as I say my final goodbye, I carry many fond memories with me.
With warmest wishes,
Lee Wilson
School Director
