Annual Japanese Day at Kingswood Primary School

At Kingswood Primary School, Japanese is our Language Other Than English (LOTE), and each year our specialist teachers host an exciting Japanese Day to celebrate the language and culture of Japan.

Students immerse themselves in authentic cultural experiences such as traditional games, arts, crafts, music, and cooking. These activities encourage them to think creatively, persist through challenges, and remain open to continuous learning – all key elements of our Habits of Mind approach.

Japanese Day is an excellent opportunity for our whole school community to celebrate diversity, foster global connections, and deepen students’ appreciation for another culture while having fun together.
