Social Studies

In Social Studies, we begin by learning the importance of rules and discussing ways to be a good citizen in our classroom, school, and community. We introduce basic State and National symbols and talk about what they represent. We explore jobs people do, how we all work together, and think about what careers we might want some day. We locate ourselves on various maps and use location words to give directions. Finally, we review calendar concepts and learn about various holidays that are celebrated around the world.
