Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten

Transitional Kindergarten is the first year of a two-year kindergarten program using a modified kindergarten curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate in a supportive environment.  Kindergarten is a year of firsts for many students.  At Bacich, there's a strong emphasis on making friends and working together in kindergarten.  Students develop early literacy and math skills.  Both programs focus on and support hands-on learning within the classroom community .

In these programs, we will help children move toward their potentials cognitively, socially, emotionally, and physically.  These programs are designed to help children learn to be a part of a group and move beyond their immediate needs and desires and become responsible for their own actions.  Our goals are to help children feel confident with their academic and social skills and be well prepared with a love of learning for a successful school career.
