A quick start guide for using the Swivl app.
Note: Swivl's default setting for video quality is SD. Do not change it to HD, as your recording's file will be too big.
Return to Apps/Software
1. Once you have the app installed and open it, it will prompt you to sign up.
You do not have to sign up.
Select the X in the top left corner of the screen to continue.
Note: You may have to swipe all the way to the right to get the X to appear.
2. Tap the hamburger button (the three stacked lines) in the top left corner to access the menu.
3 Tap Capture.
4. You are now ready to record.
We suggest using the front camera so that you can watch yourself as you record, allowing you to monitor your position on the screen. The default is already on the front camera.
Note: Your camera must be in landscape mode to record. You also need to make sure device orientation lock is disabled.
5. After you are finished recording, Tap the X in the top left corner and Tap Library.
6. Tap the three dots ". . ."
7. Tap Save. Your video is now located in your photos library.
Important tip: When recording video with a phone, turn on airplane mode to avoid receiving texts or calls while recording. Receiving a text or call while recording may interrupt your video!
