2. In the settings menu, tap on Video settings.
3. In the Photo and video settings menu, locate Video Resolution and Video Frame Rate.
4. Tap Video Resolution and change it to 640 x 480. If 640x480 is not an option, select the option that is SD (standard definition), or which ever is closest option to 640x480 (for example, 720 x 480).
5. Tap on Video frame rate and change it to 15.
6. Locate Record Audio and make ensure that there is a check next to it.

8. Use your phone's back button to return to the main Open Camera screen. Change the camera to the front camera if you're planning to use it instead of the back camera.
9. Change the camera to video. Make sure the blue button displays a videocamera icon.
10. Ensure that your device is properly set up with your kit and the microphone is on.
Plug the external microphone into your device by using the adapter.
Tap the big blue camera button to record. If the device is recording, you should be able to see the elapsed time (the length recorded so far).
Important tip: When recording video with your phone, turn on airplane mode to avoid receiving texts or calls while recording. Receiving a text or call while recording may interrupt your video!
