KRHS Graduation will be held on June 10th at 11am.
Reminders as the year continues:
Don't forget to complete Graduate Withdrawal Check Out Form. This must be completed and submitted to Mr. Bianchi in order to receive your gown and walk at graduation.
Mr. Bianchi will be accepting money for cap and gown payments. The cost is $20. Cash and checks are accepted with checks being written out to KRHS.
CHECK YOUR SCHOOL EMAIL - As we near the end of the school year, there will be important information sent to students through their school email about graduation and end of year events.
The Kearsarge Actors Guild hosted a evening of mystery and fabulous food during their performance of "Death of a Hot Sauce Salesman" on May 18 and 19. The culinary art program was honored to be asked to prepare the food for this fabulous event! Fun was had by all!
The KRHS boys tennis team, became the state campions yesterday when they defeated Plymouth at Memorial Field in Concord, NH.
Equestrian Team Champions!
Two members of the equestrian team competed on Sunday 5/21 in the NH High School Equestrian Teams State Championship Horse Show. Abigail Gusakov, a freshman, competed this year in the in-hand division and she won 1st place in her Trail class. She placed 2nd in her Suitability class. Celeste Abarca, a junior, placed 2nd in her Equitation class, 5th in her Suitability class and 6th in her Trail class. Congratulations Celeste and Abby!
KRHS is officially participating in the state's Seal of Biliteracy Award Program and granting our first two students with the award this year! Congratulations to Ophelia Hill and Jacob Baldasaro. Ophelia has earned the seal for both French and Italian. Jacob has earned the seal for Spanish. They will be receiving their awards during the senior award night and will also be helping present this exciting news to the School Board at the next meeting. If you are working toward acquiring proficiency in a world language, you can earn this award too! See Mrs. Marzelli, ESOL teacher, for more information.
KRHS Student Wins Silver in Crew
Andrew Blagden, who rows with Concord Crew, won a silver at The Northeast Regional Championships in Worcester, MA. He and his rowing partner qualified for Nationals. Two days of racing, with 30 races total for Concord Crew with 55 rowers and coxswain participating. Concord Crew came home with a gold, a bronze, a 4th place and the silver. All will go to the weeklong competition in Florida this June. Concord Crew rocks! Come join our club this summer or fall. Information at www.concordcrew.org
KRHS Track Field: DIII Runner-Up!
Congratulations to the Girls Outdoor Track team who finished as DIII Runner-Up at the NHIAA State Championships hosted by Sanborn Regional High School. Also, congratulations to Molly Ellison who captured two individual state titles in the 1600 meter and 3200 meter runs (which also qualify her for the Meet of Champions) as well as Amelia Lefebvre (High Jump, 400m), Maelle Jacques (HJ, 1600m), Auggie Zock (Pole Vault) and Juliet Faria (100m, 200m) who all qualified for the Meet of Champions!
Standard of Dress - Reminder
We ask for your partnership in reinforcing the KRHS standard of dress
Minimum Requirements:
Students must wear standard articles of clothing to include tops and bottoms, or their equivalent one piece option as well as footwear.
Clothing must cover areas from one armpit across to the other armpit, down to approximately 2 to 3 inches in length from the top of the upper thighs. Tops must have shoulder straps or sleeves. Rips or tears in clothing must be outside the areas required to be covered.
Shoes must be worn at all times and should be safe for the school environment.
Clothing that covers undergarments must be opaque and undergarments may not be worn as outerwear.
Headwear may be worn provided it does not interfere with learning or interpersonal communication.
Sunglasses may not be worn inside the building unless directed by a medical professional and coordinated through the school nurse or administration.
Specialized courses and/or activities may require specialized attire, such as sports uniforms or safety gear.
Additional Requirements:
Clothing may not depict, display, imply, advertise, or advocate illegal, violent, vulgar, obscene, or lewd conduct, weapons, or the use of alcohol, nicotine, marijuana or other controlled substances.
Clothing may not state, imply, display, or depict speech/imagery targeting or discriminating against groups based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, religious affiliation, or any other protected classification.
Clothing and accessories that endanger student or staff safety may not be worn.
Apparel, jewelry, accessories, tattoos, or manner of grooming that, by virtue of its color, arrangement, trademark or any other attribute, denotes membership in a gang that advocates illegal or disruptive behavior is prohibited.
The 14th annual Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony has taken place at KRHS. Veterans organizations from around the area attended and participated in the ceremony. The entire student body was able to attend and hear patriotic selections from the KRHS band and chorus. The culinary arts program served our veterans lunch in the KRHS cafeteria.
