Green Screen
Record commercials, business projects, book reports, storytelling videos, and more using the green screen and the iPads. We have two green screens and two iPads with Apps for the backgrounds.
Breakout Boxes
Find or design a breakout box game to present your lesson. Students working in groups will solve the puzzles identifying the clues, using ciphers to identify the codes or combinations to open the locks. It is fun and a new educational strategy you need to try. We have 5 sets.
Educational Board Games
We have a variety of board games to be used in the classroom: chess, checkers, puzzles, Monopoly, Guess Who, Pictionary, Headbanz, Apples to Apples, etc. Just check out the game (s) that will work better for your lesson.
Legos
If you have lessons where you could use Legos, bring your students to the media center or check them out. The media center accepts donations of Legos or board games all year round.
Green Screen by Do Ink app makes it easy to create green screen videos using your iPad. This app let you combine up to three image sources (videos and photos) at a time, and then showing them sequentially in a video.
Playing board games in the classroom increases overall motivation. By playing games, students become more motivated to learn, pay attention and participate in set tasks. Games help students to become a part of a team as well as take responsibility for their own learning.
Click the link to find free Breakout games in this site. These are for the games using the kits that contain boxes and locks you could check out. There are games for all subjects. The site also has digital games.
Legos provides hands-on learning that is key to engaging students in the classroom. Building with LEGO can teach students critical skills without them even realizing they are learning! It can spark creativity, develop critical thinking skills, explore basic STEAM concepts, and promote writing in the classroom.
