Clever

KCPS utilizes Clever to bring district and classroom apps into one secure portal and provide single sign on for teachers and students. Students are able to log in using their student username and password. The Clever app icon is located in the ribbon of the Chromebook. Clever allows students to access i-Ready, Discover Education, and Newsela, as well as other apps selected by individual teachers.

Symbaloo

Symbaloo is a personal start page that allows you to easily navigate the web and compile your favorite sites all into one visual interface. Create a Symbaloo for your students with the websites and links to Google Drive documents you would like to share with your class.

Thinglink

ThingLink is an award-winning education technology platform that makes it easy to augment images, videos, and virtual tours with additional information and links. Over 4 million teachers and students use ThingLink for creating accessible, visual learning experiences in the cloud.

Buncee

Buncee is a web-based tool for creating interactive multimedia presentations. The user can integrate content from both external and internal sources as well as create content directly on each slide.

Infographic

An infographic is a collection of imagery, charts, and minimal text that gives an easy-to-understand overview of a topic. The Canva website offers templates you could use with your students. The link is in the title "Infographic."

Bitmoji Virtual Classroom

Bitmoji Virtual Classroom is similar than a hyperdoc where in a Google slide you insert interactive elements that allow students to click through to see assignments, documents, and websites.

Flipboard

Flipboard is a newsreader and digital magazine tool that relies on your interests to curate the day's biggest headlines. You can flip through and read stories and articles on Flipboard

Google Sites

Google Sites is a website building platform from Google. Teacher could use Google Sites to create a one-stop hub for their students & parents. Post important resources, syllabi, agendas, tutorials, homework reminders, and discussion forums to make their learning experience go beyond just the classroom. In Google Classroom you just to post assignments.

Hyperdoc

A HyperDoc is a digital document—such as a Google Doc—where all components of a learning cycle have been pulled together into one central hub. Within a single document, students are provided with hyperlinks to all of the resources they need to complete that learning cycle.

How to Create a Google Site

A Google Site allows you to post all the information about your library or classroom. Visitors do not need to sign in what made it a very good communication tool.

To create a Google Site go to:

Google Drive> New> More>Google Sites or https://sites.google.com/

Every time you update your site you need to click "Publish."
