Hardware & Software Setup

We know how important the right tools and resources are to your success. This site provides you step-by-step instructions on how to set up the hardware you received and log in to the systems and applications you will use every day.

Carefully review the system requirements to ensure your computer can support your work efforts. Then, click the links to the left to complete the initial login and setup of each system and application.

Minimum System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 or MAC OSx or Chrome OS

  • 2 GHz Processor

  • 4 GB of RAM

  • 30 GB Hard Drive

  • 800x600 Display Resolution

  • Webcam, Audio Sound Card, Microphone

  • Antivirus software/subscription

Hard-Wire Connection

  • Use Hard-wired connections (network cable).

  • Do NOT use Wifi.

Internet Requirements

  • Reliable, high-speed internet connection

  • Speed - 50Mbps Download / 10Mbps Upload

  • Latency no higher than 140MS, to check the latency please go to https://www.speedtest.net/

  • This site will test your download and upload speeds as well as your latency. It is labled as Ping MS

Recommendations

  • Internet Speed - 100Mbps Download / 20Mbps Upload

  • Latency under 140MS

  • Dual core processor

  • Earbuds/Headphones (with microphone)

Home Router Configurations

*You may need to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP)

  • Disable Application Layer Gateway (ALG)

  • Ports are 80, 443, 22 for Azure

  • TCP Port 4172 - open port

  • UDP Port 4172 - open port

  • TLS over TCP port 443
