Eligibility Options:
Thelma Foster Junior - $300 - Must be current junior member and have been a member for 3 years
Thelma Foster Senior - $300 - Must be a Senior member and have been a Junior member for 3 years
Senior Member Scholarship - $400 - Must be a current senior member and have been a junior or senior member in SD for at least three years.
Junior Member Loyalty Scholarship - Ten $2,500 scholarships for junior members
Spirit of Youth - $5,000 - Must be Junior member and have been a member for 3 years
Children of Warriors - $5000 - Must have a parent, grandparent, or great grandparent who served in war during specified dates
Non-Traditional Student - $2,000 scholarship and must be a member and a non-traditional student returning to the classroom.

Must be a current/retired member or a dependent of a current/retired member of the South Dakota National Guard Officer or Enlisted Associations.
Must be a graduating high school senior and/or an individual enrolled or having intent to enroll in a post-secondary institution (undergraduate study only) on a full-time basis.

SD Critical Needs Teaching Scholarship
Established under Senate Bill 233 in 2013, the Critical Teaching Needs Scholarship opens doors for students preparing to work in a critical need teaching area. Students who will be juniors or seniors in the upcoming academic year and who are accepted into an elementary or secondary education program at a participating South Dakota post-secondary institution are eligible to apply.
