South Dakota Association of Mutual Insurance Companies Scholarship

You must be a SD High School graduating senior and have been accepted to a SD institution of higher education
Your parents must be insured by a Farm Mutual Insurance Company of South Dakota
You must be starting your higher education (college or vocational school) for the first time within 18 months of your high school graduation
You must have an accumulative 3.0 grade point average for your first seven semesters of high school
You must provide a certified copy of your high school transcript

SD Telecommunications Scholarship (SDTA)
4-$1,500 Scholarships
Those pursuing a degree related to the telecommunications field.
A High School Diploma, GED equivalent or will have it at graduation in 2024;
A customer/member or have a parent or legal guardian that is a customer/member of a SDTA member company (Santel)

SDGA Junior Golf Foundation Scholarship
Applicant must be a participant, or dependent of a participant in the SDGA events or an active First Tee – South Dakota participant.
Applicants must have lived in the state of South Dakota for a minimum of the past two years.
Applicants will be attending a two or four-year college, university or accredited post high school institution starting in the fall of 2024

Have a parent, sibling, grandparent, uncle, aunt, or cousin employed a minimum of 3 years (or retired) with the SD Department of Transportation
Have at least a 3.0 GPA
Demonstrate the ability to become an asset to the engineering field.

All first-time freshman students who apply for fall admission to USD are automatically considered for up to $4,000 per year. Coyote Beginnings is available to recipients for up to four years as a full-time student and is based on GPA, standardized test scores and committee review.
The Coyote Beginnings may include a combination of funding from other scholarships or additional sources awarded to you. Although there is no deadline or separate application for this award, you should apply to South Dakota prior to April 1 for full consideration.
*The Coyote Beginnings Scholarship is currently not offered at the USD – Sioux Falls location.
