At school & in life, responsibility is one of the most valuable skills you can learn. Responsibility entails taking ownership of your own actions, choices & commitments.
For example, responsibility as a student can look like:
Remembering to do your homework
Bringing the materials needed to each class
Owning mistakes, & learning from them
Using time wisely when balancing school, sports, other activities, rest, etc.
Why does responsibility matter?
Helps individuals grow more independent & confident
Teaches the importance of following through with commitments
Builds trust with teachers, parents, friends
Prepares students for future success in school, college, work, etc.
