Glazing Steps 9
Have these steps out and read them while you glaze
Give bisque piece a bath- if decorations, toothbrush
Gather materials:
Banding wheel
scrap papers
Table brushes
2 bowls- one with water
Sponge
funnel
NO canvas
Selecting a glaze-- Test tiles
Transparent-clear
Semi- Transparent- color but can see the clay body color
Opaque- covers completely
Semi- Opaque- covers well, but decorations could be visible
Crystal- rocks
Mix entire glaze bottle
Pour into bowl without water
Colorant is heavier and sinks to the bottom
When your project is out of the glaze fire- we can have a final grade conference.
It also stains canvases
